I have a friend, who older than me and a lot older than people in our “group” of friends. She does nothing but feel sorry for herself. Many of us try to cheer her up but she revels in pity, especially self pity. 

Even though many of us may feel this way once in a while, she is the type of person who feels like this all the time.  And the worst part is that she’s dragging everyone down with her and no one wants to be near her any more which is sad but she’s also latching herself onto the ones that don’t care and the one’s that do, she’s calling them the enemy.

How much can a person care? What can you do to someone who refuses to see the truth and get help?
